Account Manager, Minerals & Nutrients - Mexico

POSITION SUMMARY:
We seek an experienced Account Manager in Mexico City to manage and grow our M&N business in Mexico. This role offers excellent growth potential for the individual who can deliver results in a complex, rapidly changing environment. This role will be responsible for key account management and leading sales and market development efforts for their assigned territory. They will lead the development and implementation of sales strategy in assigned territory to capture opportunities at key accounts and identify key segments for growth. They must achieve sales goals and budget targets. They will actively engage and participate with cross-functional team members to execute the Minerals & Nutrients strategy and development objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Foster and create customer loyalty through highly professional conduct and practices that focus on and are consistent with Balchem's core values.
• Develop solid and compelling sales strategies and execution plans for assigned territory on existing and new Minerals & Nutrients products.
• Develop, implement, and manage plans and systems to nurture and grow sales with existing and new customers to maximize sales and profitability and achieve strategy and growth objectives.
• Increase sales volume, product portfolio cross-selling, and sell price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• This role will primarily be responsible for the management of supplement and fortified food accounts for sales of VitaCholine®, Vitashure®, Albion Minerals®, K2VITAL®, and OptiMSM®.
• Monitor & report on market conditions and new developments.
• Track and report on local regulatory developments that may impact business
• Develop proficient technical knowledge of the M&N portfolio, including therapeutic benefits and applications.
• Monitor and report on activities by providing relevant information to management, including sales call reports and monthly progress reports.
• Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including company safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards. Work to advance and promote the safety culture of Balchem.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent skills in sales, negotiation, technical product knowledge, communication, and customer presentation
• Must be energetic, motivated, personable, multi-task and growth-oriented
• Capable of developing and maintaining relationships, independent (capable of working alone in a large geographic area).
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
• An undergraduate degree in a business or technical discipline and an MBA or other post-graduate degree is preferable.
• Must have at least five years of professional sales experience in Mexico's food & beverage and human nutrition industry.
• Have a strong network in the Food & Beverage and Dietary Supplement industry and the ability to leverage existing relationships to deliver immediate impact in the marketplace.
• Excellent cross-functional and interpersonal skills; effectively interacting and collaborating with all levels of complex organizations.
• Strong leadership, motivational, and presentation skills; effective planning, organization and time management skills; strong attention to detail and follow-up
