POSITION SUMMARY:
Balchem is seeking a strategic and innovative Marketing Manager to lead marketing and innovation initiatives for our Powders & Cereals (P&C) business within the HNH (Human Nutrition and Health) business. This role is central to driving growth by translating market insights into compelling strategies, campaigns, and product launches that resonate with food and beverage manufacturers and their consumers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B marketing for food ingredients, a strong understanding of formulation trends, and the ability to collaborate across R&D, sales, and business development to bring differentiated ingredient solutions to market.

The successful candidate will provide market insights to develop and support overall marketing strategy, support the development and planning for industry trade shows, support the Balchem sales team & a variety of business initiatives within the company by providing creative marketing resources. The candidate will develop creative content including newsletter and social media content, Branding, and support marketing campaigns & initiatives, manage the weekly project tracker to stay on task within teams and according to timelines. and develop content for key customer visits including sharing market insights and support the sales team with product demonstrations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Marketing Insights and Analysis
• Identify and analyze key growth markets that support the overall marketing and business strategies and provide insights to guide strategic decisions
• Conduct research on target markets and customer segments
• Analyze competitors and industry trends
• Collect customer feedback to refine marketing strategies
• Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and innovation
• Assist Business Development Director in developing long-term marketing strategy

Content/Campaign Management
• Lead in developing new branding, advertising campaigns and creative development
of concepts for taking new products and services to market
• Develop and oversee concept & content development, f marketing materials, brochures, presentations, web site graphics, newsletters, e-blasts, social media and other marketing communications
• Develop marketing materials (brochures, product sheets, presentations) focused on ingredient functionality and benefits
• Support of customer demos, including presentation preparation, shipment of demo kits,
and making sure marketing attributes are properly communicated, in a timely manner
• Track and report campaign performance

Execution & Coordination
• Launch ingredient-specific campaigns
• Collaborate with experts to create technical content (white papers, case studies)
• Develop sales tools and training (one-pagers, pitch decks, sell sheets) for sales teams to effectively communicate ingredient benefits and application opportunities
• Maintain and update website and social media content
• Develop and execute marketing strategies that reflect evolving consumer preferences (e.g., clean-label, plant-based, functional foods)
• Support messaging for new product launches and customer presentations
• Create differentiated value propositions that address customer pain points and market demands. Assist with sales training and messaging for new products

Event & Trade Show Planning
• Drive lead capture from tradeshows, webinars, events and digital efforts
• Organize logistics for trade shows, demos, and innovation days
• Ensure branding consistency across booths, presentations, and samples


REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or technical field; MBA preferred. 3–5 years of B2B marketing experience in the food and beverage ingredients industry.
• Proven success in launching premium, value-based ingredient solutions.
• Strong understanding of food formulation trends and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and campaign analytics.
• Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
• Works efficiently with multiple teams and able to work calmly under pressure.

• Effective verbal and written communication and ability to work well with both internal & external clients/customers.

• Must possess forward thinking and proactive with effective problem solving skills
