Payroll Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a professional who is highly proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Enterprise Time & Attendance who will manage the payroll function including updates of software, tax payments, special compensation payments, and required reports. Addiitonal responsibilities will include, but not limited to, processing of payroll on a weekly basis, assisting in the daily departmental operations, performing research and works on special projects as assigned. Individual must be good with numbers and be trusted with sensitive information. Must have great communication skills to interact with colleagues at all levels in the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Processes the corporation’s payroll cycles including all updates and changes.
    • Review/approve hourly employee timecards including reaching out to field team to reconcile discrepancies or inconsistencies.
    • Enter new hires, terminations, employee rate changes etc. timely and accurately.
    • Process weekly/biweekly (and occasional out of sequence) payroll with accuracy and efficiency using payroll software (ADP)
    • Generate and distribute reports to upper management, finance dept etc. on a weekly/biweekly basis.
  • Ensures Sarbanes Oxley regulation compliance.
  • Facilitates internal and external audits of all payroll processes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll including, FLSA and all DOL regulations.
  • Monitors the timely payment of payroll taxes and submission of reports that support the process.
  • Interacts with state agencies and outside companies related to employee garnishments including completing interrogatories and processing garnishments.
  • Manages the corporate compensation master database (ADP system) which includes both domestic and international employees.
  • Administers the new enrollment process, changes, terminations, reporting, and reconciliation of group health insurance billing.
  • Addresses issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Assists in the administration of company policies and procedures, including interpretation or referral to the Manager, Compensation & Benefits as appropriate.
  • Administers Corporate Relocation Policy.
  • Conducts special projects involving research and analysis of information used to determine business decisions; compiles results and submits for review.
  • Manages the information database generated by ADP.
  • Follows and enforces all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards.
  • Works to advance and promote the safety culture of the site.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AAS degree in Human Resources, Accounting and equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist including applicable employment regulation and labor laws.
  • Experience in benefits administration.
  • Experience in leave management.
  • Requires strong oral and written communication.
  • Proficient in MS office and expert knowledge of relevant software (ADP)
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented; able to manage multiple priorities, manage confidential material and relationships, and meet critical deadlines.

The expected salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 a year.
